For as long as I can remember, candles have always been a special and exciting treat. The different scents that I have collected throughout the years bring back fond memories of some of the best moments; cosy winter weekends at home and late summer evenings with friends.
Overtime I have been more and more shocked by how expensive candles have become. So I thought, why not make my own.. and since then, my goal has been to create natural, affordable and original candles.
Clement & Claude candles are individually hand-poured and finished at my workshop in South West London. I use 100% soy wax, a soft, clean, renewable wax that is extracted straight from the bean and melted over a low heat. I then add an unbleached cotton wick (or two!) and blend the eco-friendly wax with fine fragrance oils.
Once filled, each amber glass jar is topped with a sturdy black lid and boxed in a 100% recyclable kraft natural gift box.
Whether purchased as a comforting treat for yourself or as a gift for a friend, candles provide a little bit of luxury every day. Simple but original, I wanted my candles to be a little bit different and a little bit special. I hope you love them as much as I do.

Each and every one of our Clement & Claude candles is made with 100% soy wax. Our suppliers are family farms in the US which have been running for multiple generations, ensuring we support sustainable agriculture.
Soy wax is made simply by using the oil from a soy bean. The oil is then purified and goes through a process called hydrogenation which changes it from liquid oil to a solid. To finish, the finest botanical oils are added, and there you have it - a soft, clean, pure wax without the horrible black smoke emissions, which you get from paraffin candles.
Most importantly, the wax is renewable, biodegradable and sustainable - consistently being produced without damaging the ecosystem.
